ROSE PRUNING

Volunteers learned how to prune roses and helped get the Rose Garden in shape.

MANGINI POLLINATOR GARDEN

PFGF was awarded a grant from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC) and the Jersey CIty Environmental Commision (JCEC) to install a model pollinator garden.

MANGINI POLLINATOR GARDEN BLOOMS

Year 1 – plants were marked with yellow flags so we knew where they were. They grew and bloomed. Just want for year 2!

PLAYGROUND GARDENS

Soil like cement needed some enrichment, lots of plants, and many volunteer days.

XERCES PARTNERSHIP

PFGF received from Xerces Society 500 plugs (very small plants) and 2 shrubs. Volunteers planted them all!

NATIONAL MOTH NIGHT

Guest speaker Dr Kelly Zimmerman shared her love of insects with us along with moth examples.

MULCH MADNESS

In September and October, working with community and corporate volunteers, in partnership with JC Parks Department, PFGF protected additional trees with fencing and mulch.

FALL FESTIVAL

PFGF celebrated the fall with its annual festival sponsored by AT&T Pioneers, Liberty Sword Club, Patrick Ambrossi & JC Office of Cultural Affiars
