Addie Mahmassani is a singer-songwriter, proud to be based in the Jersey City Heights after time in Montclair, Newark, and Arizona. Her songs, distinctive for their theatricality and her high and clear voice, explore heartbreak, America, dreams, and everything in between. Addie is also an instructor and PhD candidate in the Rutgers Newark American Studies program, where she works in performance studies and cultural history. Her debut EP Believe the Birds is out now. Her website is:

Ananda Lima’s work has appeared in The American Poetry Review, Rattle, The Offing, PANK and elsewhere. She has an MA in Linguistics (UCLA) and is pursuing her MFA in fiction (Rutgers University, Newark). Ananda was selected for the AWP Writer-to-writer program and serves as staff at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.

Sanjay Agnihotri was born in Queens, New York City, and raised in New Jersey, India, England, and Saudi Arabia. He is the publisher of Local Knowledge, a literary and art journal, as well as the programmer and host of its long-running reading series in Manhattan. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughter. He has recently published his short story Guerrilla Marketing in the literary journal One Story.
